The danger of such statements is that the important role of technology is underestimated. Technology is, after all, a crucial factor in e-learning. Some recognisable examples:
The tool you would like to use is not on the list of permitted tools in your organisation.
During a synchronous online training course, not all your participants have access to the chat that you wanted to use for interaction.
You use a forum to exchange good examples. Unfortunately, not everyone has found the way to this forum, so these learners miss out on a lot of information.
A tool that used to be free of charge suddenly becomes a paid tool.
You have a great idea for a learning activity, but you don't know of a tool that can make it happen (or the tool simply doesn't exist).
